The axe fell on three ODM MPs in Kakamega county after majority of voters in respective constituencies rejected them during party primaries, Saturday.
The legislators Silverse Anami (Shinyalu), Raphael Otaalo (Lurambi) and Adrew Toboso of Butere were edged out of the race by their competitors.
In Shinyalu constituency, Kizito Mugali secured the party’s ticket after garnering 9,034 votes beating the incumbent Anami who got 3,432.
Toboso lost to Marama West MCA Habil Nanjendo Bushuru, who got 10,378 votes against Toboso's 8,448 votes.
In Lurambi constituency, Otaalo who garnered 3,518, was beaten by Prof Stanley Khainga, with 11,645 votes.
However, the three lawmakers who have been sent packing by the electorates, have vowed to appeal the nomination outcome.
