ODM leader Raila Odinga has yet again launched a scathing attack on Jubilee government, dismissing claims that a number of counties are tossups ahead of elections.
Jubilee strategists had identified Kisii, Nyamira, Narok, Trans Nzoia and Turkana as key swing regions that would be up for grabs.
But on Thursday while receiving a number of defectors from Jubilee in Orange house, Odinga maintained that the regions were solidly behind opposition.
“They are desperate to an extent that they can say Gusii, Narok and Trans Nzoia are battle grounds. Some of you come from those regions, don you agree with them?” asked Mr. Odinga who is set for a rally on Saturday in Eldoret.
Odinga added: Just the other day, I was in Turkana and you saw what people said. The government is panicking because they know that they just control a few regions.”
The strategic zoning of Jubilee Party strategists also identified 17 counties each as strongholds of either sides of political divide.
Despite the zoning, Odinga maintained that NASA enjoyed overwhelming support from all parts of the country.
