Former Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba has disagreed with Ford Kenya Deputy Leader Boni Khalwale who reiterated that there is an old and new Ababu in Kenya's political environment.
According to Ababu, holding different political ideologies against National Super Alliance (NASA) at the moment does not translate to the idea that there is a 'new' Ababu.
"It is wrong for Khalwale to insinuate that there are two sides of Ababu. The old and new one. Harboring different ideas opposed to NASA does not mean there is a new Ababu in Kenya's politics," said Ababu.
Speaking on Monday, Ababu further dismissed claims that politicians in the country are enjoying political democracy due to Raila Odinga.
The former lawmaker believes that there are a lot of people who fought for the country's democracy and thus it is wrong to give Raila all the credit.
"NASA wants us to believe that Raila Odinga is the only one responsible for democracy in the country. There are a lot of other people who contributed to the country's democracy and therefore Raila should not be given all the credit," added Ababu.
Ababu made the remarks on Citizen TV during a political debate.
