"Tension in the county has been castigated by the media through negative reporting. But the truth of the matter is that everything is calm," he said in Eldoret, Tuesday."We want them to observe impartiality and objectivity while reporting. They should keep in mind that they are Kenyans and if the country burns they won't be spared," he added. He however, assured Uasin Gishu County residents that there is no cause of alarm and that elections would be conducted peacefully."Political differences with our competitors does not mean we are enemies," noted Mandago.He urged all aspirants to conduct their campaigns peacefully and refrain from using utterances that could divide Kenyans on tribal and political affiliations.
