Power Talks CEO Dr Waleh Akinyemi. He believes more women will carry placards in the future in a bid to get husbands. (www.twitter.com)Power Talks CEO Dr Waleh Akinyemi has reiterated tat the country will be treated to more women carrying placards in the future in a bid to get husbands.
According to Akinyemi, the girl child has been empowered more than the boy child and hence being more educated. He believes a more educated woman is feared by the men and hence lack of marriages.
"More women will carry placards in the future looking for husbands. This is because women have been empowered more hence being more educated in the society and men fear such women," said Akinyemi.
Akinyemi further said that the society needs to do away with the 'mafisi' mentality.
In his view, Akinyemi believes the 'mafisi' mentality has made men less responsible and have thus resorted to fake relationships that do not last.
"What must also be done is the eradication of the mafisi mentality. It has made men less responsible as they resort to short term relationships," added Akinyemi.
He has called on the empowering of the boy child to ensure the society gets a balance between the men and women.
Akinyemi made the remarks on NTV's Am Live show on Friday.
