Kitui governor Charity Ngilu and a section of opposition MPs in the county have asked locals to stay indoors  during next Thursday's repeat presidential election.

Ngilu and the MPs said that the planned October 26 repeat  poll is already flawed and allegedly pre-determined in favor of Jubilee.

Speaking at the Musila gardens in Mwingi on Friday during the Mashujaa day celebrations, Ngilu said that NASA leader Raila Odinga has every right to snub the repeat poll since the IEBC has not implemented key electoral reforms that could guarantee credibility of the election.

Ngilu instead blamed the IEBC accusing it's top officials of allegedly colluding with Jubilee  to rig the repeat poll in favor of president Uhuru Kenyatta.

"I want to ask you (locals) to stay indoors on Thursday next week and don't  turn out to participate in an election whose winner has already been predetermined," she told locals on Friday.

Ngilu at the same time urged locals to remain peaceful and shun violence during the planned NASA's countrywide protests.

She said that peace important in the country adding that NASA will push its agenda peacefully.

Senator Enoch Wambua  who spoke at the Mashujaa fete warned the police  against using excessive force on peaceful demonstrators.

The senator urged the government to provide security to NASA supporters  during the planned countrywide Thursday protests.

NASA maintains that there will be no repeat  election  on Thursday.

The opposition instead has called on its supporters to turn out for coutrywide peaceful protests on October 26.

On Friday, NASA leader Raila Odinga said that he will give directions to his supporters on the eve of the repeat poll.

The government has vowed to deal firmly with politicians  who it accuses  of inciting  Kenyans not to vote.

On Friday during the  Mashujaa day celebrations at Uhuru Park in Nairobi,  President Uhuru Kenyatta assured Kenyans of their security  urging them to turn out and vote since it is their constitutional right.
