Cord leader Raila Odinga has assured Kenyans that there will be no rigging in the next general elections.
Raila said that the newly formulated electoral laws barred politicians and political parties from using ‘ghost’ voters to get into power.
The ODM leader revealed that in the past, people used to use dead people’s documents to ensure that they are elected.
"Previously, dead voters used to resurrect to vote and go back to the grave. The voter's register will be digitized and if the machines don't work, no voting will be done in that station," he said.
However, the biggest concern is whether or not the new laws will be fully implemented in the next general elections that are speculated to be a hot contests between Raila, incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta and other bigwigs including ANC’s leader Musalia Mudavadi.
