Deputy President William Ruto has rubbished any possibilities of having a vacuum in IEBC with the impending exit of the current commissioners.
While speaking on Friday at Nyansira Secondary School in Nyaribari Chache Kisii county, the DP said that once the commissioners leave office, new ones will be appointed to fill the gap.
''The procedure of recruiting new commissioners is running smoothly and is actually almost complete," said Ruto
Ruto further condemned the opposition for issuing threats if new commissioners are not put place.
This comes at a time when the government and the outgoing commissioners have already agreed on the sendoff package after a few days of negotiations.
