Uasin Gishu County governor Jackson Mandago has refuted claims that there will be violence in the county amid August 8, elections.He said the county will be peaceful before, during and after elections."I want to assure residents that elections will be conducted in a free,fair and peaceful manner. There should be no cause of alarm," he said in Eldoret town, Sunday "What is being witnessed is just political competition and nothing else," added Mandago.He reiterated that the county has competitive aspirants thus wananchi have a variety of leaders to choose from. "If we could be having security challenges Chinese could not invested in the multibillion Africa Economic zone project," noted. Mandago urged aspirants to conduct their campaigns peacefully and avoid dividing Kenyans on tribal and political basis for their selfish interest.
