Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno has blamed the Director of Public Prosecution's office over the backlog of unresolved cases.

Chemno said this has led to delay in justice. 

"There is too much corruption in the DPP's office, vetting should be done on all the staff to enhance transparency and accountability," he said. 

Speaking in his office on Monday, Chemno said many Kenyans have lost faith in the office due to the way they handle cases. 

"I am calling upon President Uhuru Kenyatta to form a commission to investigate that office, since it's rotten and needs an overhaul," he said.
