The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has forwarded to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), a list of 106 politicians for failing to pass the integrity test.The list consists of 16 gubernatorial, four senatorial and three woman representative candidates. They had all been cleared by IEBC and given certificates to vie.EACC wants IEBC to enforce Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity and bar them from contesting.The report also has 37 MCA candidates and 25 MP candidates either under investigation, having pending cases or having been convicted.According to the EACC report, their charge range from abuse of office, misuse of public funds, money laundering, bribery, conflict of interest, falsification of academic papers and obstruction of lawful authority and destruction of evidence.They include: Nairobi governor Dr Evans Kidero. He is accused of abuse of office, money laundering, bribery, conflict of interest, unlawful acquisition of public funds amounting to Sh193 million and dealing in suspect funds amounting to Sh700 million.Meru governor Peter Munya. He is accused of abuse of office and misuse of public funds amounting to Sh429,503.Migori governor Okoth Obado. He is accused of misappropriation of Sh2.7 billion public funds.Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua. He is accused of abuse of office in the purchase of second hand vehicles valued at Sh47 million for the county.Other gubernatorial candidates in the EACC report are: Governor Nathif Jama (Garissa), governor Waithaka Mwangi (Nyandarua), governor Cornel Rasanga (Siaya), governor Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia), governor Godana Doyo (Isiolo) and governor Mwangi wa Iria (Murang’a).Others include: Senator Mike Sonko (Nairobi), Granton Samboja (Taita Taveta), Thuo Mathenge (Nyeri), Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga) Hassan Noor (Mandera), and Chris Obure (Kisii)Mombasa governor aspirant on United Democratic Party (UDP) Chitavi Antony Mkalla has already been barred by IEBC.
