[Photo|IEBC]The electoral body, IEBC, has mapped out a total of 11,155 polling stations, saying they do not have network coverage, to ensure voting takes place, on Tuesday.Chairman Wafula Chebukati said the stations have neither 3G nor 4G network coverage to enable voting and transmission of results. The KIEMS gadget uses network to identify eligible voters in the IEBC register.Chebukati however assured that the Commission has already taken urgent measures to ensure voting takes place, such as asking Presiding Officers and the polling clerks, in the affected areas, move to areas where there is sufficient network. The agency has also provided satellite devices in the all 290 constituency tallying centres across the country, to ensure voting and transmission of results is not affected. The country has 40,883 polling stations, and the network coverage is provided by Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom, telecommunication firms, with help of the Communication Authority of Kenya.Below are the affected areas.
