Despite all the negative stories about the effect caffeine has on your body, it turns out it has its benefits as well. Research has found that women who drink around four cups of coffee lowered their risk of depression by at least 20 percent.
If you’re tired, exercise
After coming home from a long day of work the gym is one of the last things one your mind. However, research has shown that exercising when you’re tired give you more energy. Exercise improves your cardiovascular health meaning it pumps more blood and oxygen through your body, thus resulting in a lot more exercise.
Sitting at a desk can increase risk of death
For those of you who work in an office, you’ve been warned. Research has shown that office workers who sit at their desks more than 10 hours a day had a 50 percent increase in death compared to those who sit for less than four hours a day. To avoid this introduce five minutes of activity every hour away from your desk and try taking the stairs instead of the lift.
Sit ups won’t give you a flat stomach
Contrary to what people may think about crunches; it does not give you a flat stomach. Crunch exercises only work out your abdominals and not the muscles themselves. One study showed that six weeks of doing abdominal exercises was not enough to reduce abdominal fat.
