Thika town traders have expressed fears over their security and that of their businesses.
This comes after a prominent land seller was found murdered and his vehicle dumped in Ngoingwa in Thika two weeks ago.
During the annual meeting for the Thika District Business Association (TDBA) held on Friday, the TDBA Chairman Mr Nderitu Waweru told the press that they are living in fear as police are unable to arrest criminals who have been attacking traders.
They said the business community makes the largest population of Thika town meaning the residents are in danger of being killed brutally by the gang.
The area police bosses assured the residents that they will soon get over the menace to ensure they are safe. They said they have adopted new strategies to arrest the criminals.
Thika OCPD Mr Erastus Muthamia on Saturday, however, assured residents that they will get justice immediately as the police are sure of apprehending the culprits and arraigning them before court.
