The family of Wambugu Kimani is desperate to locate their son, who was taken from their Thika home.
According to the family, Kelson Kimani, four years old, was taken from their home in a robbery and kidnapping incident.
Speaking to journalists, the boy’s mother said she noticed a stranger standing outside her gate, and on getting closer, she could hear screams from her house.
“He showed me a gun and told me not to scream, that he will me and my children if i tried. He pushed me to the house, and I pleaded with them to release the children, who were tied with tapes and were beating them up,” said the mother.
In the end, the kidnappers took off with the young boy, with efforts by the family, relatives, and friends to locate the him bearing no fruits.
“We tried to conduct a search immediately after they left, we searched around the house and the bushes around, but we didn’t find anything,” said Kimani, the father of the boy.
The family’s worries are compounded further with no communication from the kidnappers to let them know what the demands are or what the motive of the kidnapping was.
