The playoff clash pitting Kenya Premier League side Thika United and National Super League giants Ushuru FC has been set.
The two clubs will be battling for a position in the KPL season 2018 while the loser will automatically drop to the NSL
Thika finished their season third-last in the KPL while Ushuru undid their promotion hopes on the final day by losing to promoted Vihiga United to finish the season third on the log.
The playoff will be a two-legged affair with the first encounter being played on Saturday, December 2, while the second one comes on Wednesday December 6.
"We wanted a playoff where the teams play in a neutral ground in a one off affair but KPL suggested that we play on home and away basis. We agreed to that and we are looking forward to the two matches," said NSL head of leagues and competitions David Gikaria.
This will be the first time KPL and NSL sides face off in a playoff.
