Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a has appealed to the Kiambu government to improve infrastructure development in the sub county and help residents access services.

The lawmaker while addressing the public at Makongeni market on Tuesday said that infrastructure development in Thika is still poor.

Ng’ang’a said that Kiambu has a lot of funds that should be used to repair and renovate roads, install street lights and CCTV and do other development projects.

The MP noted that the county government has a responsibility to ensure that resident saccess basic services.

“Kiambu government should stop sleeping and wake up to the reality which is to provide ervices to the people,” she said.

Ng’ang’a observed that the Financial Year is almost coming to an end yet the county government has nothing to show off.

She intimated that time has come for elected leaders to take their roles seriously and work for Kenyans.

The MP lashed out at some leaders who he accused o f abandoning their roles and concentrating on the personal things.

She stated that some leaders have already started campaigns for 2017 elections yet the people they are supposed to serve are in need of services.

Ng’ang’a vowed to continue pressuring the county government until when it will fully address the problems facing Thika and Kiambu people in general.
