Thika town Constituency Development Fund (CDF) committee chairman Ephraim Njihia has asked needy students in the area to apply for bursary funds.
Speaking at his office, the chairman said that the number of needy students applying the funds is low.
He said that the funds are meant to sponsor needy but bright students and they should come and apply for them.
“I want to humbly ask needy students in this constituency to come out and apply for bursary funds,” he said.
The CDF committee chairman indicated that they have adequate funds meant for the general development of the area.
He stated that various projects are being funded by the fund, adding that their aim is to ensure people have access to quality services.
Njihia stated that CDF has been crucial in developing the area, saying there is need for the fund to be increased.
He stated that increasing the fund will ensure more people at the grass-roots have access to development projects.
