The celebrations, held at St Patricks primary school in Thika town, were graced by Hospital ward MCA Mwangi Wamwangi, who has been a member of the group for a long time even before joining politics.

The event held among other activities, free training and recruitment of new members who will be introduced to the First Aid training before joining fully.

The street families in Thika were served freely in the event where they were dressed and fed after bathing to get a new look.

Speaking to the youths at the event, Wamwangi said that they ought to be on the frontline in the fight against drug abuse, immorality and  criminal activities which are on the rise and believed to be conducted and caused by the area idling youths.

Wamwangi called on them to ensure they get some important things to do, saying that he has been giving youths an opportunity to earn for just cleaning the town and most of them have changed positively.

The Red Cross disaster operations manager Renox Onyango called on the idle youths to join the group as they keep them busy.
