Thika sub-county residents have been asked to take advantage of the newly opened Huduma Centre in Thika Town to receive over 50 government services.
Speaking over the weekend at Thika Stadium, Thika sub-county administrator Rose Muthoni also revealed that the county government has already taken two desks at the centre to handle land issues.
"Matters involving land issues in the sub-county will now be handled from the Huduma Centre at the county desks in a more expeditious manner and we encourage residents to make use of them," said Muthoni.
The administrator further revealed that the county government will also automate the land files to prevent fraud and make their traceability easier.
"We will be digitising our land files in line with the county's policy to automate various programmes which is aimed at improving efficiency," said Muthoni.
The administrator also applauded the national government for opening the centre in the area saying that residents will now be able to receive a variety of government services under one roof.
