The Deputy County Commissioner Thika Sub County Jeremiah Gicheru has led the sub county in early preparation for the Mashujaa Day celebrations slated for Monday next week.
Speaking to this writer, Gicheru said the early preparations make it possible to notice the areas that need change and improvement.
“We have embarked on the early preparations to ensure that all plans are in place without last minute rush. We are glad that Kenya Prisons have helped us with the manpower,” he said.
He said that the sub counties have always prepared early revealing that this is seen as a sign of patriotism to the country and being loyal to the residents.
The preparations started on Friday and the DCC said the celebrations will be held at the Thika sub county stadium.
He called upon area residents to show up in large numbers to remember the Kenyan heroes on the particular day.
