Thika United has begun preparations for the 2018 season of the Kenya Premier League (KPL) and is now eying at Ushuru United's pair of Benson Amianda and Nelson Marosowe.Thika United head Coach Nicholas Muyoti has confirmed that he is interested in signing the duo in preparation for a tough next season. "Yes we are interested in the two but we also understand other clubs want them and so we will have to move with speed and try to get them. We also have other targets we are negotiating with and we hope to conclude our transfer business on time so that a can have ample time to prepare for the new season," Muyoti was quoted by Futaa.comAmianda who is a striker was Ushuru's top scorer in 2017 with 16 goals while Marosowe played both as a defender and a midfielder and was a key player for coach Ken Kenyatta. Thika United has founded 27 years ago as Beirut FC. It would later be known as Medisca Thika in 2001 and finally to Thika United in 2003.The team will be keen to have a stronger 2018 after battling relegation almost the whole of the 2017 season.
