Thika United Football Club will miss the services of dependable midfielder Michael Mutinda when the team meets Ushuru FC tomorrow.

United will face Ushuru FC in the second leg of Kenya Premier League (KPL) promotion play off in Narok.

But the Nicholas Muyoti coached side will be without services of Mutinda who   suffered a foot fracture halfway through the first half of 2-1 win against Ushuru FC during the first leg of the KPL promotion play off played at Thika Sub-County Stadium on Thursday.

The injury was confirmed in a report on the Club’s website - thikaunitedfc.com.

“Michael Mutinda suffered an ankle injury during the crunch tie and the X-Ray reports from the medic team showed he had a Fracture on the base of the fifth Metatarsal. Further details indicate that the player who is currently on clutches will be out of action for a period of two months before rehab training commences,” reads a section of the report.

The second leg of the play off will be played at the Narok County stadium starting 3pm tomorrow.

The winner will get a chance to feature in the 18 team KPL next season. Thika United need a draw in order to get the KPL slot, while Ushuru FC must win without conceding a goal in order to get the KPL slot.
