As the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) and Football Kenya Federation (FKF) continue to differ and struggle to follow the same script teams have started being affected.
KPL team Thika United who finished 16th in the league were in line to face National Super League (NSL) team Ushuru FC after they finished third as part of a two legged playoff scheduled for December 2nd and 6th.
However, it looks like it may not be the case after Thika United coach Nicholas Muyoti mentioned that the team had already broke for the December holiday after failing to receive any confirmation on the matches set in December.
“We are not in training at the moment; we left after the Bandari game and as a coach I am currently planning for the 2018 season in the premier league because I have not been told anything officially about the playoff,” Muyoti said.
On the other side Ushuru FC is looking to use the match to their advantage as they aim to recover from a final day loss to Vihiga United which say them finish third in the NSL.
