A group of singing artists have decided to come together to start a project of setting up their own studio for music industry in Thika town.
This comes after realizing that they face a common challenge of lacking funds to record their music, and their talents were going to waste, yet they needed source of livelihood.
The “Vijana Tugutuke” said that they cannot seat back and watch their talents go to waste, thus decided to come up with the idea, which they think is the only way to save their career in music industry.
The team, which was performing on Thursday during the Talent Road Show sponsored by the Kamenu Ward, vowed to assist many like them, who have talents that do not sprout due to lack of funds.
They have urged to the county government to help them validate their dreams by sponsoring their quest for the establishment of the studio, which will help youths from Kiganjo, Makongeni, Landless and the sprawling Kiandutu slum.
They have called on youths who believe they are musicians and have a dream to come out and join the dream team, which they believe will go far if only a little help is applied in terms of finance.
Lewis Komen, one of the group members said that to them, they believe in unity and working hard, rather than indulging in criminal activities that will destroy their lives.
They have called on Kiambu Sports and Youth affairs CeC Michael Waikenda to help them validate their dream, which to them they believe in the old adage that says unity is strength.
