NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has been warned to leave out Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga in his next visit to Bondo.
The Bondo Transport Association has said this as they denied ever being involved in jeering of Raila every time he visits the area to drup up support for Rasanga.
Through officials Fredrick Agolla (chair), Oliver Akach (assistant chair), Dennis Owiti (secretary) and Samuel Lenya (assistant secretary), the operators on Tuesday said they have no problem with Raila’s visits to seek votes for his presidential bid but that this will be on condition he does not include Rasanga in his campaign.
Mr Agolla said that the few cases where Raila has met public resistance in Bondo town have been because he was with Rasanga and further cautioned the NASA leader that further association with the incumbent will be met with resistance.
The official claimed that as the region's transport sector, they have been impoverished by Rasanga's administration that has failed to provide adequate opportunities to improve their business.
“Rasanga’s administration is full of lip service which has not benefited us since its inception, hence the need for a change of guard,” the chairman said.
Hardly a week ago, Raila met public resistance when he tried to vouch for Rasanga’s reelection in the guise of casting the vote through the six-piece pattern.
