The 34-year-old was raised in Eastleigh, Nairobi, and attended Ainsworth street primary school before joining Pumwani High School for his Secondary Education from 1991-94.

he then joined Kenya Polytechnic in 96 to pursue a Diploma in Sales and Marketing. Arocho played as a defender in his entire career, which started when he was 8 years. 

He started playing at the highest level at a tender age of 14, turning out for Postarica FC which was in Makongeni. He played for three years, after sitting for his class 8 exams, participating in different competitions. 

In 1993 he participated in the annual Coca-Cola tournament starting from the grassroots ours being Nairobi where we lost in the quarters. 

He was then picked for trials during the tourney, represented Nairobi in the nationals and eventually won the title. 

He was then spotted by under 21 national Coach Tom Olaba assisted by Twahir Muhidin and recruited into the team where they would represent the country in the Olympic qualifiers. 

he has played for several local clubs including Sony Sugar of Awendo, KCB and retired at Re Union FC where he was the captain.

Arocho retired early in his career after he got frustrated seeing most of his friends try to play abroad with no success.
