Today Kenyans woke up to the shocking news of the death of John Macharia the son of royal media owner SK Macharia.
Despite being the son of one the wealthiest men in the country John Macharia was a reserved person and those who knew him have so far described him as a humble person.
He was the first son of SK Macharia with his wife Purity Gathoni Macharia. He had five siblings, two sisters and three more brothers.
He was related to Maina Kageni . They are cousins to be exact.
John held a degree in Economics and Computer Science from Trent University Ontario Canada.
He was the Executive Director at Harbour Capital with over 20Yrs experience in the financial services sector.
The late was credited with introducing insurance premium financing in Kenya and was the director and founder of Triple-A Finance and Direct Line Assurance.
He had a love for expensive cars and fast living. Little did he know that his expensive car would send him to his grave. At his death, he was driving a Silver Porche 911.
John Macharia was not married and he has died at the age of 38.
