People usually lie down or sit comfortably in their chair after taking their dinner, but this is a mistake that you should never make. According to experts, the habits are highly dangerous and can put your health at a risk.Here are the things that you should never do after eating; Smoke. Smoking is right but not good for your health after a meal. If you must do it, you should wait for a couple of hours after a meal. 

Cigarette contains nicotine, a substance that has detrimental effects on our body, it causes your body to absorb carcinogen. According to several studies, smoking cigarette after a meal has the same effect as smoking 10 cigarettes at once and increase your risk of bowel and lung cancer as well.Showering. Showering after a meal is one of the worst things you can do. 

A hot shower will increase the blood flow to your limb and reduce the blood flow in your stomach, thus negatively affect your digestion.Sleeping. Lying down for a nap or sleeping after a meal is a common habit practiced by many people, but this habit is not healthy at all, it might cause discomfort and bloating, furthermore disrupting your sleeping patterns. According to the current studies conducted, it's said that people who wait for longer without going to bed after a meal have less chances of getting a stroke. 

This is why it's important not to go to bed after a meal. You are therefore recommended to stay for at least 2 hours before retiring to your bed. Drinking tea. Teas are healthy, but you shouldn't consume after a meal. Drinking tea after having a meal can interfere with iron absorption in your body as tea contains tannic acid which binds to the iron and protein from our food. 

This can result in 87% decrease in iron absorption and even iron deficiency which can lead to anaemia, dizziness, weakness, and fatigue.I am sure you didn't think these habits were detrimental but science elaborate it otherwise.
