Efforts to strengthen a third political alliance that will bring force to beat the main Opposition coalitions, Jubilee and NASA, have taken shape.This is after three August presidential aspirants, led by the Third Way Alliance leader Dr Ekuru Aukot, Cyrus Jirongo of United Democratic Forum (UDF), Michael Wainaina, and Nyamira senator Kennedy Mong'are of Federal Party (FP) met for closed door talks at Nairobi's Jacaranda Hotel.Speaking after the meeting, Aukot said the meeting meant to ensure the team supports one of them for presidency, saying Kenyans should look beyond president Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA's Raila Odinga, by electing a new comer."We've got great ideas about this country, we should be able to come together, to talk about how we can synergise, and see whether there's something we can do together. We met here to say, let's create an agenda for this country,'' said the presidential hopeful, Thursday.Addressing the press, Aukot criticised Jubilee and Nasa, saying they had failed to assure Kenyans, of proper governance, adding that Kenya needs an alternative.Presidential aspirant expected at the meeting was Nazlin Omar, and Starehe MP aspirant Activist Boniface Mwangi who failed to show up.Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful Miguna Miguna also attended the meeting.There are 18 presidential candidates, 11 of them vying as independent candidates.
