After being married for 12 years, I realized that my husband was seeing my friend Liz. It was hard to believe that the father of my two lovely daughters (Carlina and Cheryl) was tired of me.

I thought of moving out but it was too hard for me because I loved him so much. I met Jack while at Kenyatta University. I still recall that handsome, calm and opinionated man who used to wear expensive Italian suits.

One of the things that made me to fall in love with him was his confidence. Living without Jack was the last thing I could imagine.

I was ready to do anything and I mean “anything” to get back my man. I started by changing my wardrobe. I just realized that my clothes were making me to look older than my actual age.

Every Friday, I would take him to his favorite club and sit beside him as he takes his glass of wine. When he became drunk, I would drive him home.

Although I never liked football, I was forced to know players of Manchester United like Wayne Rooney because that is what he kept talking about.

Any time I noted he was stressed, I kept calm and encouraged him to be strong.

At night I would dress in my sexiest skirt, prepare his best meal-ugali and fried meat.

Within a period of two months, my husband started coming back home early. Jack, only death will do us apart.
