Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has promised to offer a helping hand to the ruling party, Jubilee. The National Super Alliance (NASA) running mate said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto need a break come August. He believes that he will use NASA to release them the pain of leadership.
“We want to help Jubilee by winning this election. It’s proving painful for them to continue leading. With the kind of challenges they have gone through, they surely must want to rest after August,” Kalonzo said.
The Ukambani point man also said that the region is firmly in NASA. He dismissed the notion that Wiper was being used by Jubilee to weaken opposition alliance. The departure of key allies like senator Muthama and Musila has been viewed as a weakness in NASA. Kalonzo, however, dismissed this claims and said that voters from his backyard have made a decision to oust Jubilee.
“Decisions have been made and we have moved. Ukambani and beyond is in NASA’s grip,” said Kalonzo.
The former Vice President has been entrusted with the task of leading Eastern Kenya into NASA. He is expected to deliver a reasonable share on the 10 million plus votes that opposition talks about.
