Kenyan singer Akothee is said to have spent Sh2.5 million during her homecoming party after bagging the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) in a colorful ceremony held in the United States of America.

According to Nairobi News, the “Give it To me” hit maker spent the cash on a luncheon, hiring a customized limousine, booking space at a five star hotel for the cocktail party and booking flight tickets for members of her family including her mother and father.

Apart from the mentioned expenses, it is said that Akothee bought a red dress for the cocktail party at a cost of Sh510, 000.

Upon her arrival at the Jomo International Kenyatta Airport (JKIA) in Mombasa, Akothee was delighted to find her fans patiently waiting to congratulate her.

Hate her or love her, Akothee’s musical career is on the rise.

She recently left Kenyans talking when she revealed that artists have to part away with Sh1 million to do a collabo with her.
