Mombasa-based singer Otile Brown has joined the league of internationally recognized artists such as Akothee, Jaguar and Redsan, who are known to spend huge sums of money on their music videos.
This comes after the singer revealed he spent Sh300, 000 on his new single Niseme Nawe, featuring Tanzania’s artiste Barakah the Prince.
“We shot the video in Limuru in a very fancy mansion where they normally do not allow people to do videos,” said Otile, as quoted by Nairobinews.
“The project cost Sh300, 000 not including airfare and accommodation expenses for Barakah,” he added.
Otile said he had been following Barakah since he did his first song, though they never met until he came to Kenya this year.
He revealed he had to cater for Barakah's accommodation during both the audio recording and video shoot.
“He’s very popular in his country, and you know how Tanzanians support their own, so when he came here, he expected to be treated like a star,” he said.
