Cord leader Raila Odinga will be on a four-day political campaign aimed at paralysing former ODM Secretary general Ababu Namwamba.
Raila is planning for a tour to the Western Region earlier in the week.
Close sources have revealed that the Former Premier has given strict instructions to his supporters not to engage Ababu since by so doing, the lawmaker will get unnecessary attention and create a feeling of importance and relevance.
The visit that is set for July 18 will see Raila focus on meeting local leaders and holding rallies to counter the rebellion witnessed in the region.
The coalition is also planning to parade alternative leaders who will take the mantle of leadership from the 'Rebel'.
Odinga had earlier stated that he is not worried by the resistance staged by Namwamba and Funyula MP Paul Otuoma.
“I am not shaken. If anything, the ground is stronger. We are getting fresh people to replace those who want to leave. Our team is intact,” he asserted.
Raila further reaffirmed that he didn't force the leaders out of the coalition.
“It is not that someone is being chased away. They have to look for excuses to find their way out of the party," explained Odinga.
Ababu announced his resignation on Wednesday despite the fact that ODM leadership stated on Thursday that the Budalangi lawmaker had not written an official resignation letter to make his sentiments factual.
