NASA supremo Raila Odinga has revealed how the opposition coalition was able to get the results that were made public yesterday at the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi.
Mr. Odinga claimed that the results were genuine as they had been gotten them directly from the IEBC servers through whistleblowers in the IEBC.
The results will form the basis upon which Raila will be sworn in.
''The results that we have are very genuine. They are very bulky and you cannot make them up. We got them through whistleblowers and that is how we got the results. Otiende Amollo will tell you that whistleblowers are protected by our constitution,'' Raila Odinga told a People's Assembly Forum in Homa Bay County, the final forum before his much-touted swearing-in on January 30.
Odinga's words come in the context of growing tensions in the country triggered by his swearing-in plans.
There have been growing calls for Raila to abandon his plans and embrace dialogue but Odinga has maintained that the window for dialogue has closed.
His supporters continue to pile pressure on him to take the oath of office.
