Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has said the opposition will do everything possible, to ensure the presidential votes in this year’s polls are not stolen.

Raila said the National Super Alliance (Nasa) will have 450, 000 agents across the country to protect their candidate’s votes.

The former Prime Minister, who is eyeing the Nasa presidential ticket said each polling station will have at least 10 opposition agents.

He made the revelations on Tuesday.

The opposition’s strategy is dubbed “adopt a polling station”. It will also ensure that all NASA supporters vote come August 8.

Opposition leaders have been accusing the Jubilee Party of planning to rig the general election. They mounted a fierce campaign to oust former IEBC commissioners, whom they accused of colluding with the government to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta wins the polls.

The commissioners, who exited office, dismissed the opposition’s allegations.

Reports emerged that Cord did not have agents in Jubilee strongholds in the 2013 general election, which allegedly created room for rigging.

Raila also confirmed that Nasa will have a presidential tallying centre.

“Political parties are allowed to have tallying centres. I have been hearing them say nobody is allowed to have a parallel tallying centre. No, no, no,” Raila said, as quoted by The Star.

Jubilee leaders, Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto, have dismissed Nasa’s plan to have a tallying centre, terming it as “illegal”.
