Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has warned the Jubilee administration against its alleged continued ‘buying’ of politicians from Gusii region predicting a resounding victory for the ODM in the 2017 elections.
His remark comes barely a day after the ODM won the Nyacheki by-election in which the Jubilee Party through its nine MPs from Kisii County had rallied for several days.
Bosire who led thousands of ODM supporters to celebrate the victory of Naphtali Onkoba in the Wednesday mini-poll said the Gusii region was deeply in the opposition party insisting that it will form the next government after the August 2017 polls.
“Gusii region is firmly in the ODM and those who have been dining at State House thinking that they can auction our community should learn from these election. They have used money but the people stood firmly with the party,” he said.
“This is how we will defeat Jubilee in 2017 and those MPs who have been rallying behind the ruling party should give it a second thought. We cannot support a regime that has neglected some communities,” he added.
The Jubilee team presented a powerful campaign that was headed by Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and Bobasi MP Stephen Manoti.
