Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa has revealed the political post he has has set his eyes on come 2022.Wamalwa said he will vie for the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial post in 2022 to succeed incumbent governor Patrick Khaemba, during the governors swearing-in ceremony at Kitale grounds.

"I congratulate my elder brother Khaemba for his victory. I humbly ask you people to let me succeed him in 2022," he said.

Wamalwa was first elected in 2013 to lead the jurisdiction that was hived off from the larger Saboti constituency.

"There will be a chance in Kiminini in 2022. Let Kakai Bisau compete with my other August 8 competitors and leave the governor seat for experienced people like me," Wamalwa told Bisau, who was Khaemba closest competitor in the August 8, polls.
