There are millions of Kenyans who now own cars today.
However, this was never the case several years ago where cars were left for the extremely wealthy.
Aged 104 years today, Gerald Gikonyo Kanyuira went into the books of history as the first man in Kenya to own a car.
His creation of wealth was not an easy day. He used to hawk vegetables in the so-called the Asian districts of Nairobi for several years.
Together with his friend, whose name is not recorded anywhere, the two contributed each Sh150 to buy a Sh300 Austin A30 which made them join the class of the wealthy.
Today he is one of the successful businessmen in the nation.
