A Kibabii university student has pooled the simplest ways to track someone's location. Emmanuel Melly, a third-year student studying Information Technology (IT) shared the set of instructions to follow to track someone.
"All you need is just the phone number of the person you need to identify their location," notes Melly who hails from Uasin Gishu county.
Here are the procedures to follow to identify the exact location of any smartphone as explained by the university student.
First, open your browser preferably, Chrome and type "IP logger" then open the IP logger website. Turn it to desktop mode if you're using a phone.
In that website, you'll find a clickable link titled URL/Image. Open another tab and go to google and any image. Open that any image in a new tab, copy the link of that photo.
Go back to the IP logger website and paste the URL/Image space then click on the link below it to get the logger code. A list of information will appear, pick the Google short URL that has been updated. Copy this google short URL and send it to any of the users through WhatsApp, Facebook, SMS or any available means.
Use any trick to make the other person click and open the link. Assuming that the other person has clicked the link, go back to the IP logger website and click on home.
Go to "View logger" button you will see the update IP addresses. Copy the IP address and open a new tab then type ip-tracker.org.
Lastly, paste the IP address on the provided space and click the button below the space. The exact location of the IP address will be shown and other details such as time zone, sunrise/sunset of that location, capital, and even state.
So next time you want to find out or track where someone is, it is as simple as following the above procedure.
