Meru Governor Peter Munya has claimed that Party of National Unity (PNU) is the third largest party in the country.
The embattled governor was speaking in Meru where he even revealed that PNU has a massive following countrywide with many promising to join the party but are just waiting for the right time to become members.
"PNU is the strongest party in Meru that I can assure you several sitting MP and the strongest aspiring ones are just waiting for the right timing," he said.
Munya claimed that PNU is the third biggest party in the country after major coalitions.
"If you place Jubilee and NASA we will be the third strongest force and our target is so," said Munya.
The governor is seeking reelection in Meru gubernatorial race where he is set to face Senator Kiraitu Murungi and Uhuru's adviser on education matters Kilemi Mwiria.
