Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has criticised the manner in which his deputy Polycarp Igathe handled their disagreements.
Speaking at a live show on Kameme FM Thursday morning, the governor said that Igathe would have taken alternative means of conflict resolution instead of resigning from office.
He acknowledged that he was human and bound to make mistakes, and insisted that the problem would not have escalated if correct means of conflict resolution were put in place.
"The mistake my brother Igathe did was this, that if there was a problem or political challenges, because I was in Mombasa and President Uhuru was in South Africa, if I erred, he should have reported me to the president," he said.
"He should have taken me to the deputy president, or he should have gone to religious leaders like Pastor Mwai or Mama Teresia or any pastor or any bishop because I really respect religious leaders," he said.
"Or he would have taken me to MPs like (Maina) Kamanda," the governor added.
He also dismissed as allegations and propaganda word that he is sabotaging efforts for dialogue between him and Igathe.
