Mong’are, who announced his bid to vie for president on Tuesday, promised to save the country from the two vices after ousting President Uhuru Kenyatta from the top seat.

The first time Senator said to fight graft, every Kenyan who attains the age of 18, will be required to record all their assets to a national asset register.

"All assets owned by every Kenyan above 18 years will be recorded in an asset register which will be accessible to the public by the click of a button," said Mong'are.

He added that companies who do business with the government will also be required to have their information public and accessible to the public for transparency.

To end tribalism, Mong’are said morality lessons will be taught in schools so that children appreciate patriotism and to embrace nationalism.

The Senator lamented that Kenyans in foreign countries are suffering without the government intervening as the country lacks a foreign policy document that guides the relationship with other countries.

"Our people are held in jails even in China where we have auctioned our country and we are doing nothing to help them; we lack proper foreign documented policies,” he said.

The legislator insisted that he was the best-suited candidate to lead the country with the slogan; "We want our country back”.
