The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has revealed what he will do to the President and his deputy in case he wins the August general election.
Speaking in Kibera on Thursday, the ODM leader said he would not jail President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
Raila said that Nasa did not have any problem with the two leaders, and would give them jobs after forming the next government, in the event that they emerge victorious.
“We do not have a problem with President Uhuru and his deputy Ruto. After we remove them from office, we will give them work to do and we will not jail them but show them how a government is run because it seems they are overwhelmed,” he said, as reported by Kenyans.co.ke.
The former Prime Minister noted that the ruling party had failed to address key issues facing Kenyans and were only pretending to offer solutions to the country by offering short-term solutions like in the maize issue.
“They are cheating people that they have brought maize from Mexico but this is just a temporary thing of one or two months because they are using it to seek for votes,” he stated.
Raila said Uhuru and Ruto had done nothing in the four years they have been in power
“They have been in power for four years but they never did anything. Even if you give them 100 years, there is nothing they would accomplish,” he said.
