Amani National Coalition leader Musalia Mudavadi has called upon Kenyans to resolve that 2017 is the year of change.
In his New Year message, Mudavadi said change will only happen if Kenyans vote out President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in the forthcoming General Election.
"We must forge unity of purpose to reclaim our country. Kenya must return to the path of accountability, truth and justice. This will only be achieved if we send Jubilee home," he said as quoted by the Star.
The former Vice President said Kenyans had experienced a rough time during the Jubilee regime especially in 2016.
"I know you did not have the best of 2016. The cost of living in terms of transport, food and other household goods has skyrocketed beyond your capacity to afford," said Mudavadi.
The Amani leader added; "Unfortunately salaries have stagnated for those in employment. The economy is only performing miracles for a few."
He said the government has hoodwinked Kenyans by prioritising on 'valueless' mega projects as developments programs only meant to steal from national coffers.
"Valueless grandiose projects have been shoved into Kenyan faces with little immediate economic value, yet we are saddled with a Sh3.6 trillion public debt," said Mudavadi.
He reminded Kenyans that the decisions they will make when voting have a direct impact on their families, society and the country at large.
"I do hope Kenyans have had enough of Jubilee and will take a stand against corruption in August 2017," he added.
