The former Vice President’s daughter Damarie Musyoka took some time during the launch of her father’s autobiography Against All Odds to reveal some lessons learnt from the Wiper leader.

“For as long as I can remember, my brothers and I have often been asked, How is it being Kalonzo Musyoka’s child?

I still haven’t found the precise answer to that. So today, I hope we shall discover the answer together, as I attempt to answer the question, Who is Kalonzo Musyoka as a dad?

"Over the years (and they haven’t been many I’m only 20) I have learnt a lot from him. I guess that’s the easiest way to go about this, here are a few lessons  I’ve learnt from my father,” she said.

Honesty - She said that her dad has taught them never to lie. She encouraged others to cultivate this virtue.

Family devotion - Musyoka’s daughter Damarie confirmed that the ever busy politician always creates time for his family. She said she admires how he looks after their mother.

Leadership - Damarie Musyoka told those in attendance that she has learned how to lead from her father. She has been elected to lead some school roles thanks to Musyoka’s mentorship.

“Being Kalonzo Musyoka’s daughter means very many things, it means that I am aware that I can make a difference. It means that I know the value of being a good person. It means embodying the ideals of integrity, humility and compassion every single day. It means standing for what is right,” she concluded.
