President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday partially revealed his new cabinet after a long time of wait by Kenyans. In his new cabinet, President Uhuru Kenyatta retained various CSs who according to him performed extremely well in his first government. Dr. Fred Matiang'i is one of the cabinet secretaries who maintained his position in the Education and Acting Interior dockets. According to National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Dr. Miguna Miguna, retaining CS Matiang'i by the president was a way of congratulating him for 'committing genocide against NASA supporters'For former Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko's nomination for the CS position, Miguna said it was a form of President Uhuru's congratulations to him for 'facilitating the looting of public resources and for perpetuating the culture of impunity'"The Illegitimate President @UKenyatta has rewarded @FredMatiangi for committing genocide against @CoalitionNASAKe supporters; Keriako Tobiko for facilitating the looting of public resources and for perpetuating the culture of impunity. In a Friday briefing, President Kenyatta announced that he had retained six current Cabinet Secretaries including former Education CS Fred Matiang'i, Najib Balala (Tourism), James Macharia (Transport), Charles Keter (Energy] and Joe Mucheru (Information Communication and Technology)
Tobiko resigned as the DPP after he was nominated for a CS position.
