Making the announcement on Friday, LPK party leader Ababu Namwamba, said he made the decision as Jubilee has portrayed 'mature politics'.

"My decision to work with Jubilee is all about mature politics that will deliver meaningful development to our community. That is the direction to go politically," said the Budalang'i MP.

Namwamba, who was accompanying Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto on their tour of Busia County, called on the residents to work with the government to realise development.

"We want to play mature politics. I am here to receive the president because despite being in the opposition, there is a difference between a political rival and an enemy. We as leaders from Busia are ready to work with those who are development-oriented," said the legislator.

Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka who had also accompanied the President appealed to the Luhya community to join the government so as to benefit in terms of development.
