NASA are broke and cannot run their campaigns because they were earlier funded by governors who were rejected in the last general election.
This is according to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Uhuru made the utterances during a rally at Nairobi's Uhuru Park when he met supporters to drum up support for the repeat elections scheduled for October 17.
"The difference is what our colleagues used to pocket and use for their evil deeds," he said.
"Now they have started collecting public funds because what they used to steal is lost," he added.
This comes after the opposition NASA coalition resorted to soliciting funds from supporters on grounds that they had run out of finances in the second round of the campaigns.
